It lays out the best route to bring a sea vessel the size and strength of one such as your Windproud, from Storm's End, south across the Narrow Sea to the lands of Essos, then east through the Summer Sea to the ancient land of Volantis. Volantis is the oldest of the Free Cities of Essos and very wealthy. It is said there are five slaves for every free man. The Free City is ruled by a Triarchy- three men that function the same as a King, though majority rules in all decisions. The Triarchs are either "Elephants"- money lenders and merchants that favor trade and taxes- or "Tigers"- Volantenes of the Old Blood that favor war. Volantis was the first colony of the Great Freehold of Valyria, the birthplace of House Targaryen. It is believed that among the Old Blood of Volantis will be found noble girls and young women of pure Valyrian blood.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to sail at the Crown's expense to the Free City in north of the Summer Sea. There you will use your skills and the gold coin provided for you by the Iron Throne to find, vet and extract, by any means necessary, a young female of noble birth and of pure Valyrian blood. You will bring this female Valyrian back to Westeros with you as a bride for the Crown Prince. If you are at any point captured during you quest, the Iron Throne will deny any knowledge of your identity or you mission... Destroy this written message immediately after committing your mission to memory.
