Breaking Wind... of Winter (Sp2.11)
You Can Do It, George! We Totally Have Faith In You... Probably...
On the eve of the release of... like... the 3rd major A Song of Ice and Fire publication since A Dance With Dragons that isn't titled "The Winds of Winter," #TPTWP find themselves struggling to identify a strange and uncomfortable feeling that overwhelms their Royal Persons re:ASoIaF.
The Promised Princes sought out mental health professionals for help, and they did their own Royal Research into "Human Feelings" and "Human Emotions," so as to identify what this feeling was. The conclusion that the Royal Research and the Royal Mental Health Professionals both came to was that John and SeannieWan were no longer feeling Angry and/or Frustrated each time The Winds of Winter came to their Royal Minds, but instead they were suddenly and inexplicably feeling a feeling that most commonfolk call "Hope."
Hope had never been a feeling that #TPTWP associated with The Winds of Winter... or George R. R. Martin... or A Song of Ice and Fire. Ergo... What gives???
WARNING! FOR HERE BE SPOILERS!!!
SPOILERS INDEED FOR ALL PUBLISHED BOOKS IN #GRRM'S A Song of Ice and Fire AS WELL AS ALL TELEVISED EPISODES OF HBO'S Game of Thrones...
Born amidst salt and smoke- Just off the Long Island Expressway- Beneath a bleeding star...
John and SeannieWan discuss the very real possibility that their trolling of #GRRM may have been unnecessary and misinformed, albeit briefly is the adverb to describe the speed of their disussing, and brief is the discussion which they briefly discuss.
Has HBO been the real reason/motivation behind the inconceivably long wait for Volume 6 of ASoIaF since the release of Volume 5? Has there actually been a reason for the wait all along other than The Great Procrastinator doing what he does best- Procrastinating?
It's not TV... It's HBO*, but is it also why this professional writer has been unable to finish a professional project in nearly 8 years?
If so, is it possible that #GRRM has been one step ahead of us the whole time? Not likely... probably not... but maybe... but most likely probably not...
In the biggest twist in all of non-fiction since the Resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth, John does what the pro-wrestling fans "in the know" would call a "Face turn," and finds himself siding with The Great Procrastinator.
In addition to all the "Hope" that The Promised Princes are feeling and discussing, John and SeannieWan put the pedal to the metal and discuss The Winds of Winter as though it were the ASoIaF being released next week instead of Fire and Blood.
The Wardens of Long Island doth engage in a top-notch, professional-level-conversating conversation re:The Winds of Winter, and thus catch themselves up on the ASoIaF characters and storylines that will surely make up the narrative of The Winds of Winter. They also theorize as to where the narrative will go and how the cliffhangers of A Dance With Dragons will be resolved.
"Really really good stuff this episode!" - George R. R. Marlin (editor of Wild Cars)
"#TPTWP have really done it this time!" - George R. R. Martington (author of The Gang of Throngs)
"...truly this is a podcast... not... bad... good!" - Eli O. (content editor for Westernbros.org)
Head's up! Possible SPOILERS for non-ASoIaF properties...
7:30:00 - Possible spoilers for 'Avengers 4,' though highly unlikely.
14:10:00 - Possible spoilers for 'Star Wars Episode IX,' though probably not.
The tweet that began the hype which led to hope...
Shortly before this episode was made available, news of Stan Lee's death at 95 years-old broke on every major news outlet.
To say that Stan Lee and his imagination directly molded our preference and enjoyment in and of fiction would not be nearly enough to do justice to his imagination and his influence.
To say that our own creativity is what it is because of those properties and ideas that Stan Lee created would be a shade of what should be said to honor how true that is.
To say that the work Stan Lee did, along with the work he procured, developed, and distributed, has become or was the basis for all quality fictional media entertainment in 2018 and is truly enjoyed by millions and millions of people around the world would only scratch the surface of the legacy that he leaves behind...
