He is currently working on his thesis for 'GRRM Plot Armour' along with his broadcast colleague, and the other member of the 'Eddard Stark' faculty, Ser John Philip John of the House Kanteen.

John has his doctorate in 'Jon Snow.. well everything Jon Snow,' as well as a doctorate in 'Jon Snow Allies,' 'Jon Snow Enemies,' 'People That Have Wronged Jon Snow,' 'Advanced Jon Snow Enemies,' 'Night's Watch History and Lore,' and 'The War for the Dawn.' He also has two doctorates in 'Selfish Tully Errors and Mistakes Throughout Modern Westerosi History,' as well as a Master of Arts in 'Advanced Theoretical Catelyn Tully Foolishness.'
