The Idiot's Guide to Southron Ambitions, Part 1 (11.1)

Mystery Knights to Tyroshi Strangling Devices

SPOILERS!!!

FOR ALL PUBLISHED BOOKS IN #GRRM'S A Song of Ice and Fire AS WELL AS ALL TELEVISED EPISODES OF HBO'S Game of Thrones...

Born amidst salt and smoke- Just off the Long Island Expressway- Beneath a bleeding star...

#TPTWP return to the abyss that is the tiny grey area of interest between the super-hit television adaptation and the source material fantasy novels- an abyss that forges these two mediums together and creates a glob of chit-chatting that interests both book-readers and show-watchers the same. If anyone can do it, it be The Princes That Were Promised.

The Wardens of Long Island return to tackle the Prelude to The War of the Usurper that is Rickard Stark and his Southron Ambitions. Are the Southron Ambitions a enormously complex plan to overthrow the Targaryen dynasty? Or are they simply Rickard Stark's desire to travel South during the really rough parts of Winter because his bones are aching and he doesn't quite feel as young as he used to and he would like to see some hot Dornish ladies in the medieval equivalent of bikinis before his idiot son (and heir) does something stupid with that old-gods-damn juvenile temper and complete lack of foresight and the tempertantrum in question puts Rickard in a position where he has to deal with problems he believed he was done dealing with once BenJen was chamberpot-trained?

Join John and SeannieWan as they metaphorically tear the roof off the son of a bitch that is the Stark Men!

The artwork for this episode of #TPTWP is titled ‘Brandon Stark- The Wild Wolf' and was created by Mike Hallstein. More of Mr. Hallstein’s incredible work can be found- Right The F’ Here…

The Princes That Were Promised are John and SeannieWan. Every week they tear apart Westeros and sift through the pieces to bring their Leal and Loyal Subjects the history of the Realm and The Known World from both George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire and HBO's adaptation, Game of Thrones.
